Rmas Alhazmi is a Saudi surfer and filmmaker who has proudly represented the Saudi National Surf Team for the past year. She began her surfing journey in Australia, teaching herself to ride waves before advancing her training under the guidance of coach Bruno Pitanga. Her commitment to the sport has taken her around the world, training in the UK, Portugal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, with personal surf escapes in Bali and Australia. With no consistent waves in her hometown of Jeddah, Rmas has developed a unique training routine, focusing on flat-water paddle endurance and wakesurfing to keep her competition-ready. In 2024, she competed in the Asian Surfing Championship, securing a women’s spot for Team Saudi at the 2026 Asian Games. Beyond competition, she has been actively involved in raising awareness for surfing in Saudi Arabia, contributing to the growth of the sport and inspiring the next generation of athletes. Balancing her dual passions for surfing and filmmaking, Rmas is part of a pioneering wave of Saudi athletes and creatives breaking new ground on the international stage. Driven by her hunger to keep surfing, learning, and improving, she continues to push herself to new levels in and out of the water.

I'm 21 years old, I only learned surfing a year ago, and now being one of the first in history to represent Saudi Arabia in surfing, and represent hijab, religion as well. I'm not an advanced surfer but still pushing my self forward and limits and believe that nothing is impossible.
