Tristan Day is a 16-year-old student-athlete who distinguished himself as one of Canada’s top amateur surfers in both in shortboard & longboard, placing 4th in Open Men’s Shortboard and 5th in Open Men’s Longboard at the 2025 Rip Curl Nationals Canada, reflecting his verstility in the sport. He has also shown remarkable resilience, continuing to thrive in school and in the ocean despite the loss of his high school, neighborhoods, and his homebreak during the Palisades fires. Tristan used this time to travel away and experience a variety of waves and cultures.
