Following a recommendation by the International Surfing Association (ISA), and consultations with the surf community, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board approved an update to the qualification system for Surfing in the LA28 Olympic Games.

Competition to take place November 6 – 15

Peru will host the 2026 ISA World Surfing Games (WSG), one of the first qualifiers for surfing for the LA28 Olympic Games. The event will be held from November 6 – 15 at the iconic Punta Rocas.

The International Surfing Association (ISA) has today welcomed the release of the approved Qualification System (QS) for Olympic Surfing by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Surfing competition for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games (LA28) will take place at Lower Trestles, the world-renowned high-performance peak in San Clemente, California.
