I am from and live at the beautifull area of Jæren. Surf is cold and windy, but we love it. I have a good work place that let me use flex hours to go surfing in the dark wintertime. Norwegian winter season is the high season.
Jæren is my homebreak, but i have been travelling alot to try new waves around the world.
I am an active board memeber of the local surf club. We try to bring the surf community together with surf competitions and social events.
I'm very happy I get the chance to represent Norway in this competition, to be a role model for our up and coming next surf generation and show that we also surf way up north.
Surfing is still a new sport in our country, startet around 1980, back then went wetsuits wasn't that easy to get a hands on in Norway, so they surfed with diving dryssuits and dishwashing gloves. Today we are slowing building up surfing as a profetional sport in Norway, and we are her to show that!
When talking to my friends about going to El Salvador to compete in World surfing games, I like to joke about me being that guy from South-Africa joining the World Ski Championship this year in Norway. I love to surf, meet people, and be motivated to develop my skills by surfing with the best surfers in the world. I’m very grateful to be her!
