Born in 2003 in Seignosse, France, Sam Piter is one of the country’s rising surf talents. European Junior Champion (WSL) in 2023 and winner of the 2025 Lacanau Pro, he stands out for his aerial style and smooth technique. Sponsored by Billabong, he's making his way toward the world elite.

Hello I'm 17, I'm born and raised on the island of Tahiti in the Pacific. I was raised with her brothers by the lagoon near Teahupo'o and surfing came naturally. 
Multiple French Polynesian champion, I decided in 2020 to leave my island to join the Pôle France de Surf in Biarritz in order to reconcile studies and international competitions.
Today, member of the French Surf team, I try to perform in both the turquoise barrels and the Europeans waves. Champion of Aquitaine, Vice-Champion of France, 4th European junior I'm one of the hopes of French and Tahitian surfing.
Just a few weeks before graduating from high school, I want to continue studying management of the sport while fully entering the world of competition with the focus on the Olympic Games that will take place at her home, in Teahupo'o, in 2024.

16 From France, Comes from Vieux-Boucau in the south west, a small village between the biggest european forest and atlantic ocean. Not so far from Hossegor.  Small village with a lake that exits on the ocean. Quiet in winter but lot of European tourism in summer to enjoy nature and south west beaches. Surf on sandbank spots allong the coast.
