My name is Robertney Barros, I am 32 year old born on the island of cabo verde  I was born and raised on a small tropical island, where opportunities were few, but the ocean was always present. It was in the sea that I found my greatest refuge and also my greatest teacher. Surfing entered my life not only as a sport, but as a spiritual path that taught me patience, balance, respect, and love for nature. Each wave made me grow, not only as an athlete, but as a person. Today, I carry with me the responsibility and pride of representing where I come from, showing that even from a small place, with faith, dedication, and passion, it is possible to achieve big dreams. Surfing not only changed my life it gave me a life of purpose...

Hi my name is Noah Angulo, I am 21 years old. I was born on the islands of Hawaii on maui but raise on Sal, Cabo Verde. My mother is Cabo Verdian and my father is Hawaiian. Growing up all I knew was surfing, growing up on Sal is very limited. But our richness is the ocean that was around us! So since I was 3 that was my life everyday. Everyday I was in the ocean practicing several watersports like windsurfing, wingfoiling, kiting, fishing, spearfishing and my favorite surfing. Thats how I grew my passion to become a waterman and to represent my home on the  highest level. 

I was the national surfing champion of Cape Verde in 2024, I participated in the Africa Surfing game and managed to bring my team from Cape Verde to 5th place
