My name is Ranya Squalli, I am 15 years old, I was born in Casablanca Morocco, and I am passionate about surfing.

I started surfing when I was 4 years and competitions at 10 years old.

Achievements :

2019 / 12 years old : 2nd in Moroccan champioship u18.

2021 / 14 years old : Winner of Moroccan championship u14, u16, u18 and ranked 4th in open

2022 / 15 years old : Winner of Moroccan champioship u16, u18 and ranked 3rd in open

2023 / 15 years old : 4th in Africa surfing game open

I'm representing Morocco at the international level and playing in the European WSL projunior

My biggest dream is to be one of the best surfers of the world

I started surfing when I was 4. I wasn't really decided what I really wanted to do. I was juggling between surf and bodyboard from 8 yo to 14 yo. And I definitely decided to stay in the surf since 14, and I've been fully engaged in the competitions for a year now. I've always been proud to represent Morocco internationally, in Santa Cruz during the Europe Championship, in Morocco during the first edition of the African Surfing Games, or even during the juniors QS. I am very happy to be part of the national team during the ISA is such a pleasure, and I will try to raise the Moroccan flag as high as possible.

I qualified for the Olympics in Tokyo where I finished at the 9th place,

This year I qalified for the WCT but unfortenately I got injured in January just before the start of the first competition in Hawaii. The ISA World Championships will be the first contest since my injury. I am still not at 100% but I will give it my all to requalify for Paris 2024!
