I have always loved water-related athletics, such as pool swimming, open-water triathlon swimming, lifeguarding, sailing, etc. My passion for surfing started in the tropical Caribbean waters of my home country, Trinidad & Tobago. Upon moving to Santa Barbara three years ago, I became serious about surfing as my primary competitive sport. I now primarily surf and do dryland training. I am tall for my age, and consider myself a power surfer who also loves modern manoeuvres, like blowtails. I enjoy learning and am an excellent student. I have been in gifted programs, on math teams, and am earning all As in high school. In my spare time, I go to the beach and surf! I love competing in NSSA and WSA events, the Rincon Classic, will compete in USA Primes this year, and really enjoyed competing in my first ISA World Juniors in El Salvador last year. My long-term goal is to become the first surfer from Trinidad & Tobago to get on the WSL championship tour.
