I have been surfing since I was 8 years old and competing in surf competitions since I was 10. I am a third generation surfer in my family, My family and I enjoying surfing together.

I live in a place called Okato in a region called Taranaki it is on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand a place that provides a variety of surf beach and point breaks.My favourite surf break is called Stent Rd a really amazing right hand point break.

I love competing Nationally in New Zealand as I love to travel and surf different breaks in New Zealand.

I train with a group of young competition surfers and friends called The Taranaki Grom Squad coached and created by my Dad Paul and Kane Rowson a teacher.

This is my first time competing in a surf competition overseas and cant wait to be participating in the ISA world surfing games in El Salvador.

Hey I'm Kalani Louis and I just turned 17, I live with my Mum (Helen) & Dad (Mark) and younger sister (Sophia) and our dog Jade. I am a super frother and surf every chance I get! If there are no waves, I go have a hit of golf. My local is Fitzroy beach,where I live 5 mins walk away but my favourite surfing spots are down the coast in Taranaki about a 45 min drive. I like to be active so I also enjoy playing touch rugby, rugby and league and used to do cross country running up until last year too. Now my love of surfing has taken front place and that is when I am happiest out there in the waves! My most recent titles in NZ, April 2022, include winning both South Island U18 Champ and Canterbury U18 Champ.I'm really looking forward to surfing in the Junior Worlds in El Salvador. I'm so stoked and I can't wait to ride new waves in a new country and also look forward to meeting all the competitors from around the world!! It's gunna be epic!!! Kora is from Raglan, NZ. Kora has been competing since he was 9 years old and has had a successful national junior campaign wining multiple national titles and the NZ Grom Series. After spending 2 years in the Raglan Surf Acadamy, Kora is now doing a carpentry apprentiship with Hoult Construction. Kora enjoys a round of golf after a surf.

The warm water in El Salvador is definitely a plus as most of the year in the south island is spent in full a suit and booties.

I am 15 years old and live in New Plymouth, Taranaki in New Zealand. This is a small coastal city on the west coast of the North Island. We have a variety of reef breaks, point breaks and beach breaks along the coastline. My favourite places to surf are Stent Road and The Groyne which is in walking distance from my house. The people I surf with the most is my dad Kane, Søren, Kalani, Skylar and Natasha. I love to fly fish in my spare time with Søren and Jasper. I also like to foil with dad when the surf is flat. I train with the Taranaki Grom Squad on a weekly basis both in the water and in the gym.

I grew up in Piha just out of Auckland, New Zealand but I recently moved to Raglan to finish my last years of school at the Raglan Surfing Academy.I enjoy school and love surfing so making this move has been the perfect way to make the most out of my last 2 years at school.

Aside from surfing I really enjoy cooking and experimenting in the kitchen as well as finding fun, new ways to stay active and keep fit.

I'm also super passionate about Maths and Science, I'm hoping to do an Engineering degree at university next year which will be interesting!

This is my first ever surf competition out of Aotearoa and my first ever trip to Central America, I'm really looking forward to the experience and to showing the world my surfing!!

Tao Mouldey is a 14year kiwi from Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. ----------------------Tao was just 4 years-old when he learnt to surf on a foamie. Less than a decade later, he’s the number one ranked surfer in New Zealand’s for Under 16 boys. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Recently taking out the 2022 Billabong Grom Series U16s with three event wins. In 2021 (age just 13), he took on the challenge of competing in double divisions and won an incredible 13 events to take out both the Under 16 and Under 14 divisions in Surfing NZ’s National Competition.-------------------------------------------------------------------Tao comes from a long line of “old Mounties” who have the ocean in their blood. Cross Roads surf spot is just a two minute walk from home.He and his two brothers Zen and Zigy all have a deep love of surfing and respect for the ocean. Fishing, swimming, boating, snorkling, sailing and snowboarding are a huge part of the Mouldey family’s lifestyle. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tao’s favourite surf breaks are Snapper Rocks and Dbar in Oz and Matakana Island, Whangamata bar, Manu Bay and Indicators in Raglan, and Piha in New Zealand.
