I am 16 years old and live on the Gold Coast, Australia. I started surfing at 10 years of age through the SurfGrom Program. I am a member of Snapper Rocks Surfriders Club and have competed competitivley for my club and a lot of grom comps in Australia. I have also surfed competitivley overseas in Bali. This year I have started doing some QS competitions along the east coast of Australia. I regularly judge at various grom comps in Queensland and I also work as a surf coach at my local surf school, Surfing Services Australia. I am in year 11 and have just started at a new school which specialses in skateboarding, surfing and BMXing. I do my schooling on line so that i can focus on improving and growing my surfing. At the moment I am working on my air game.

I have spent the last 4 winters in Portugal and summers in the uk.

I've just spent a couple of months travelling around Indonesia which was good.

I work in the summer as a surf instructor in Cornwall, which helps with my funding for surf trips.

I am hoping to do well in this competition I have been training and coaching really hard fingers crossed for some good conditions.

I grew up in Cornwall in the Uk, alot people don't realise how good the waves can be and how beautiful it is.. my dad is also professional surfer Ben skinner,and my whole family surf even my dog. I used to skate but now I golf a lot as it's safer. My dad makes my surfboards in his factory in Newquay Skindog Surfboards. We work in designing boards together for the best possible board for me and alot of other groms in the uk. FireWire also support me. I love travelling especially to escape the British winters however the wave can be good around the uk then.

Hi, my name is TeganBlackfordI am 17 years old and I live in Newquay, Cornwall. I started surfing on my local break with my dad when I was 5 and I did my first competitionaged9. Since then I have competed within the UK and Europe, but this is my first big international event, and it has been my dream to represent England so I am so excited to be here. I normally surf with my younger sister Eva and Dad but my ultimate inspiration is my Grandpa who was one of the surf pioneers in Cornwall. When I am not surfing I will either be with my friends at the beach, working as a surf coach or studying for my A-levels, I am supposed to be at school at the moment ;).

I first learned to surf in Manly Beach, Australia when I was just four years old. I grew up competing in all kinds of sports, but around the age of ten, my surfing started to take center stage after my family and I moved to Bali, Indonesia. Around this time I started competing and since then my passion, determination, and drive have been focused on achieving my dreams in surfing. I’m so fortunate to represent England and have the support I do from my family and friends, and I’m excited to see where surfing will take me!
