Hola! My name is Matias Maturano, but my friends call me Matu :)
I live on the Peruvian coast in a small town south of Lima called San Bartolo.
I learned to surf in the Mendoza River when I was 8 years old thanks to my father, Leandro Maturano, a pioneer of river surfing in the Americas.
After recovering from juvenile epilepsy, I made the decision to live life to the fullest and become a professional surfer, and that’s how my journey through South America began! Searching for the best waves to make my dreams come true.
And guess what? I did it!
Nowadays, I enjoy surfing, making music, and practicing yoga at home.
I have a little dog named Nyree and a cat named Rocoto, and I live with my life partner Pamela in a beautiful house near the beach.
You only live once, and only you have the power to light your own path!!!
