My name is Liv Stokes and I am so excited to compete for Team Canada! I grew up in California but my whole family is from Toronto and Quebec. I have been surfing internationally for Canada since 2017, and I have represented Canada in ISA and WSL events. My favorite type of waves are beach breaks like Oceanside Harbor, but I love right hand point breaks like Lowers and Sunzal. I am very proud to represent our family's country!
Carolyn is a lifelong athlete & performer who’s always pushed the boundaries—on land and in the water:
-She's competed at Nationals as an elite Canadian gymnast,
-Joined a touring circus & becoming the only woman in the world to perform a back handspring on a cantering horse . She says that riding horses while standing up at the canter feels alot like surfing.
-She competed at the first-ever Women’s Pipeline Surfing Championship in 2003, where the tagline was “Go big or go back to the kitchen”. She’s still chasing waves, defying expectations, and loving every second of it.

Born in Montreal, raised in Venezuela by my German dad and French Canadian mom. I currently work and live in a small town called Tofino, where I get to surf everyday of the year. The water is cold but being able to find empty lineups is priceless too me.
