I was born in Tahiti in 2011.

I leave on the beach at Taharuu in Papara. 

I spend all my time on the beach in front of my house, surfing, snorkeling, swimming and paddling. 

I love playing int he ocean. 

I like playing piano and singing with my sister who plays ukulele and guitar. 

I love my family and having fun with my friends. 

I love surfing with my mom, my dad and my sister on the reef inTahiti, and with my best friend in Moorea Island.

In Peru, it will be my third time competing in the ISA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP, and i'm very exciting to represent Tahiti. My goal is to make the top 10 this year and why not reach the final !

Ia ora na, My name is Liam SHAM KOUA, I am 12yo. I like to hang out with my friends and surf or skate. This is my first time in Peru and I'm super excited to discover the culture, the people and the waves! Thank you Peru for hosting this great event. Let's go Tahiti!

Since I was a child, I’ve always needed to be outside and in the ocean. I grew up in Moorea, a small island in French Polynesia, surrounded by nature and water. My father and brother are both watermen and triathletes, and our life is filled with outdoor adventures.

At home, the ocean is our playground. We have all kinds of gear – outrigger sailing canoes, stand-up paddles, paddleboards, kitesurfs, foils, wing foils, and all types of surfboards. I started surfing at 6 years old, and since then, I’ve never stopped.

Now 15, I’m part of the Heritage Project led by the French and Tahitian Surf Federations, preparing young surfers for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. I’m ranked #1 in the Polynesian Championships (U16 & U18), I recently won the 2025 Roxy Vahine Cup, and I’ve competed in several international events including WSL and WSA contests in California and Hawaii.

I love the ocean, and I love competing. My dream is to qualify for the Challenger Series, and eventually, represent my island and my country at the highest level.

Mix of brazilian and tahitian blood.Born and raised in Tahiti. My cousin is Tya Zebrowski and she inspired me to never give up on my goals. 

I started competition this year and i want to level up my surf and my strategy in the heats and be able to perform in WSL contests later. Dream big, surf hard !

This ISA surfing competition is my first time participating and I am grateful to be there with my team. I just celebrated my 13th birthday and I am going to compete with the juniors, it’s both exciting and challenging. 

Born and raised in Tahiti, I am an 11-year-old surfer who lives and breathes the ocean. I've been riding waves since the age of 2, growing up surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific Islands. Whether surfing, fishing, or snorkeling with my brother, I'm happiest in the water, exploring everything the ocean has to offer. With every type of wave just a paddle away, I aim to progress, have fun, and chase new adventures.
