I started practicing different competitive sports since I was 6 years old. At the age of 9 I discovered surfing, the best sport of all, since that day I have not stopped practicing it. This is my first Junior World Cup and I am proud to be able to represent Peru, gain experience to go forward.

Yo surfeo desde los 5 años. Vivo en San Bartolo donde aprendí a correr. Entreno todos los días con  Luis Eduardo Escudero. El 2023 represente a mi país en el ISA Jr en Macumba Brasil. El 2023 también hice el  circuito regional Sudamericano  WQS de la WSL.

Estudio el 8vo de secundaria en el Colegio Nordic en Villa.

Sofía is a young surfer from Lima, Peru. In 2020, with the pandemic, Sofi and her family moved to San Bartolo and then to Punta Hermosa, where she found her passion for surfing. In 2021, with 11 years old, Sofía represented Peru for the first time and was crowned South American U12 champion in Cartagena, Colombia. In 2022, Sofía achieved the title of National Champion in two categories, Sub 12 and Sub 14, as well as Sub Champion in Open. In 2023, Sofía achieved the title of South American U14 Champion in Mar de Plata, Argentina. In 2023, Sofia reached the junior grand final at the QS5000 in Saquarema, Brazil, one of the biggest events of the year within the World Surf League circuit. The junior category includes athletes up to 20 years of age. Sofia is in fourth position in the WSL South American Rankings. In 2023, Sofi ended as the first person and youngest in ever wining three categories in the Peruvian National Championship: U14, U16 and Open.

I was raised in a surfing family and live in Punta Hermosa, Peru, surrounded by all-year-round waves.
I love surfing, both small and big powerful waves. A big air or a steep, long drop. I enjoy traveling, getting to know new waves and meeting new people. The last four winter seasons Ive been lucky to surf on the North Shore of Hawaii. It is such a beautiful place with great waves and great people.
This is my third time proudly representing Peru at the ISA World Junior Surfing Championship, previously at El Salvador and Brasil. I am super happy and proud that this time we are the host country. I hope everyone has a great time here.

Soy Urpi Torres, Surfista , conocí el surf por mi padre cuando tenía poco más de 2 años y desde entonces se fue convirtiendo en mi pasión, a los 7 años asumí el reto de mi primera competencia, y gané. Esto marcó el inicio de mi pasión por competir, ahora estoy comprometida en mejorar cada día tanto en mi surfing y como persona.

My name is Adrian De Osma and I live in lima Peru. I've surfed since I was around 8 years old in my local hometown of Punta Hermosa. I've competed for 5 years and this is my first ISA tournament and I'm excited to give my best.
