Kia ora, I’m Tao Mouldey an 18-year-old surfer from Mount Maunganui, Aotearoa. I first stood up on a foamie at age four, and over the past decade I’ve become one of New Zealand’s most consistent junior surfers, winning the U14, U16, and most recently the U18 National Championships title. I’ve represented Aotearoa twice at the ISA World Junior Championships competing in El Salvador in 2022 and again in Brazil in 2023. Peru 2025 will be my third and final Junior Worlds. I’m also proud to surf for our local club Bay Boardriders, where I’ve been part of the team that won the New Zealand Club Championships twice, and where I also represented the club in a team at the World Club Championships in Australia ~ surfing uncrowded Snapper was unreal. I live just a short walk from my local break at Cross Roads, and come from a long line of “old Mounties” who have the ocean in their blood. My brothers, Zen and Zigy, and I have grown up in the water surfing, fishing, diving, sailing, and exploring the coastline. My favourite international waves include Restaurants and Cloudbreak (Fiji), and Padang Padang and Lakeys in Indo. At home, I love searching Aotearoa’s coastline for waves especially my home break 'The Island', and anything with barrels. I thrive on travel, exploring, competition, and missions with my mates connecting with surfers from around the world and always chasing epic waves and the next challenge. I’m really looking forward to finishing my junior journey in Peru with the Kiwi team.

I'm Leia Millar, I'm from Piha, New Zealand and I'm 18. I grew up surfing with my family and I have always loved competing. 

Possibly the southern most based competitor competing at ISA Junior Worlds - Alexis is from Dunedin, New Zealand, located 46 degrees south, Alexis often surfs with Sea Lions, Leopard Seals, Penguins, Dolphins and Orcas. Water temperature range of 7 degrees in winter to a maximum of 18 degrees in summer

15 year old athlete based in Raglan Whaingaroa New Zealand. Growing up surfing on left hand point breaks and beach breaks around Raglan including Manu Bay and Indicators. Competed for New Zealand in the ISA World Juniors in 2023 Brazil and 2024 El Salvador. Represented New Zealand ISA World Surfing Games El Salvador 2025. I have traveled across New Zealand and the world competing in surf competitions and free surfing. A 2x under 16 girls NZ national surfing champion. Student at Raglan Area School and apart of the Raglan Surfing Academy. 

14 year old surfer from small beachside town of Pauanui  in the Coromandel, New Zealand. I have competed at the ISA World Junior Championships in 2023 (Brazil) and in 2024 (El Salvador). Stoked to make the NZ junior team for the third year in a row. Was also selected to complete in the World Surfing Games this year in El Salvador, amazing experience as the youngest member of the Open NZ team. Started surfing at 3 years old when my dad took me out on a foamie. Love to surf with my Family: Matt (Dad, Kiwi), Amber (Mom, American) and sister Chloe, and dogs Homie and Gigi . Goes to school in Whangamata and is part of the Whangamata Surf Academy (shout out to coaches Kurtis and Rangi who coach me at the academy) NZ Fav waves: Love surfing locally at Whangamata Bar. Overseas Fav Waves: Barra De La Cruz in Mexico or Dbah in Australia.  Career Goal: To represent NZ at the Olympics one day and to be on the WSL tour.

Poppys 16 year old grom from Piha New Zealand competeing in the under 16s. She lives 100 yards away from south piha beach and surfs everynight when she gets off the school bus. 

I was born in New Zealand and lived there until I was 11 in a place called Sumner. A little seaside surf village. We moved to Emerald Beach in the Mid North, NSW, Australia when I was 11. I surf eveyday there is surf which is most days where I live. I surf mostly with my mates Tom and George and my parents and all the Coffs Harbour Boardrider crew. When I'm back in New Zealand for holidays I like catching up with my family, surf friends and going on missions with my dad to find pumping waves. Mostly head to Dunedin or the West Coast on the hunt for barrels.  I would like to thank all the people that have supported my surfing journey and helping get to Peru. Family, friends, Point Surf Team in NZ and Coffs Harbour Boardriders in Australia, and all the people that have supported my Pizza business "Flagstaff Pizzaria" raising money for my surfing. Flagstaff Pizzeria is my pizza business making Pizzas from home on friday nights and delivering them around Emerald Beach with the help of my parents. It is my first time traveling to Peru and I love it. Waves have been pumping.

My parents are Brazilan, I was born and raised in NZ and I live in Australia. I love surfing and hope one day I can make onto the World tour.

Vitor Bauermann Kokemper grew up in Mount Maunganui, Aotearoa New Zealand, where he has lived since age four. Born in Los Angeles to Brazilian parents, Vitor calls the waves around Mauao home and began competing through Bay Boardriders at Tay Street. A powerful goofy-footer with a strong rail game, he won the NZ U14 National Title (Piha) at 12 and the NZ U16 National Title (2025) after a training season in Bali. Vitor now splits time between New Zealand, Australia, and international surf hubs, with his favourite waves being D’Bah (Australia) and Matakana Island (NZ). He has trained long-term with Matt Scorringe (NZ), worked with Itamar Guima (Bali), and continues physical conditioning with Loretta Hogg (NZ) and Salt Performance — Marcos (AU). Raised mainly by his mum, he remains close to his older brother Eduardo and maternal family. Focused on progression and international competition, Vitor aims to build a professional surfing career and compete among the world’s best.

I'm 15, from Raglan and of Tainui descent. I attend the Raglan Surf Academy run by Larry Fisher. I am a former Aotearoa Maori National Champ in Under 14s. 

I'm an absolute unit, don't do much other than surfing, can't wait to surf my brains out and win this comp. 

Born in NZ grew up surfing in Australia, moved back to NZ when I was 15 and entered the NZ surfing academy based in Raglan in the north island. Stayed there for the last 3 years living away from my family to fulfil my dream of surfing.

Have two siblings... one brother and one sister... mum and dad brought us up surfing - every weekend exploring a new surf break in Australia. Whole family surfs.

Chloe Groube is a junior surfer from Pauanui, New Zealand. She began surfing at age five alongside her dad and sister Lola and has since grown into one of the country’s top junior female surfers. Chloe will compete for New Zealand for the first time at the ISA World Junior Surfing Championships, where she looks forward to challenging herself against the world’s best.
