Ever since I was a little girl, Rika has loved the ocean and dreamed of being a lifeguard. When she entered her university, she joined the lifesaver club, fulfilling her dream. After graduating from school, I moved to Zamami Island, where she worked as a SUP, kayak, snorkeling, and yoga instructor. 

I fell in love with paddling after taking a paddleboard class at her home beach, which hosted the Kerama Blue Cup in 2017.

My competition history started in 2018.

After winning the 2019 Japan Championships, I dreamed of playing in the world.

Actuary, I was going to join the world tour starting in 2020, but it was cancelled due to Covid-19.

I will be a SUP racer again starting in 2023, having fun and aiming for the champion!!!

I live on Iriomote Island in Okinawa, which is registered as a World Hatural Heritage Site. I practice in coral reef seas and mangrove rivers. My favorite part of SUP is going downwind in the open ocean.

For this year's ISA France, I shaped my own surfboard and laminated it with natural materials based on the SDGs.

I am learning about surfboards at university and am constantly making and testing them.

I have competed in the ISA WORLD SUP & PADDLEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP 6times.I have SUP surf 3 times and SUP race 5 times.I will do my best this experience.

I am very honored to be able to participate in the historic ISA.
I would like to represent Japan and fight on a paddleboard.
And by participating, I would like to further spread paddle sports in Japan.

Thank you for holding this competition in the midst of difficult times. I am extremely happy to have this opportunity where I can demonstrate all of my efforts on achieving goals. Looking forward to praise each other and taking on the challenges with our friends from all over the world.

My name is Kapono Sasuke Fukuda.  I  was born in Hawaii and grow up in Amami Island. I , Kagoshima Japan. I am 17years old and High School Student. I've been SUPing since I was 4 years old, and started surfing and SUP Surfing when I was 6years old.  My dream and Goal is to be Top Water Man who does all kinds of water Sports and helping and leading new generation riders in the future. I do: SUP Surfing Surfing:  Long, Short, Big wave Gun Foil: Prone, SUP, Down Wind Wing foil I will try Kite and Wind Surfing in near future. This ISA SUP World Championship is one of my dreams since I was a little. So grad and honor to participate this competition. I will try my best and exciting to meet many world SUP riders from all over the world.

Started racing SUP at the age of 23. Since then, competed in races in Japan. This year is  first time to compete in the World competition. Currently, KOKUA team rider.
