I first got to experience surfing on a paddleboard and I won a National title for sup surfing when I was 14. But I also love surfing all the other board types including short board and longboard.  A good day is when I walk down to my local break after school and hit the waves. I've surfed all round New Zealand and competed in a number of disciplines both as an individual and as part of a regional team. I got to represent New Zealand at the El Salvador ISA World Longboard Championship earlier this year and I am so happy to now be representing New Zealand in SUP.

I love being on the water in some form; kitesurfing, foiling, surfing and recently SUP surfing. This is my second ISA event (El Salvador was my first international event). 2 x New Zealand champion.

Hi there my name is Ollie Houghton, I am 23 years old from Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand.

I have been competing in SUP since I was a youngster, and internationally since I was 14, competing in my first ISA world champs in Sayulita, Mexico in 2015 when i was 15 years old.

Since 2018 I have been taking a hiatus from SUP racing to focus on university studies in Finance and Business but have recently come back to the sport competing in many events on the 2023 Euro tour.

This will be my fourth appearance at the ISA SUP World Champs with my current best results standing as a Silver Medalist in the Junior Technical in 2018 (China), and a 9th placing in the Elite Mens Technical in both 2017 (Denmark) and 2018 (China).
