Brief Sport history: Started with swimming went on to sailing at 6 years old and competed in Optimist till 11 years old. Started Windsurfing in the mean time and made the transition to racing Bic Techno 293 in the youth categories. Managed to get a 2 national titles in 2008 and 2009 on the bic techno. Went on to RSX youth but didnt have the support needed to grow on to the seniors so went to Study Sport and kinesiology. During my Sport Studies i got a pretty bad knee injury, tearing the medial ligament of my right knee in 2013. And Started standup paddling to get back in shape through the winter of 2013-2014. Bought my First race board the Spring of 2014. And really started racing in the season of 2015. Got my first Belgian National title in 2016 and been defending it ever since.  More bellow.

This year has been focused on coming back from Injury. Sadly I was the victim of road rage 2 march this year, a guy tackeld me off my bike while I was commuting. Broke my Scaphoid in my left hand and my processus majus of the right Humerus. ( Or right upperarm) asswel as two ribs on that rigth side. Been working closely with Michael Booth Training and Physio's to get back to paddling. I still feel the shoulder, its ok, but rigth now it's mostly the ribs who need to handle the training load. 

Originally the Belgian championship technical race and sprint wouldhave been my top priority this year and the only focus of coming back to racing. Winning it again was an emotional moment, let alone hearing afterwards the Belgian Sup tour wanted to help me get to the Worlds. So overjoyed to be able to be here and just compete.
