My name is Tanja Ecker, born in 1992 and raised in the southern Black Forest, I have always been very close to nature and sports. That’s why I also studied sports science. Stand-Up Paddling is a passion that has now become a profession. As a professional stand-up paddle athlete I’m part of the German National team and could win already several national and international titles including 8 German National titles and a win of the SUP 11-City Tour in 2022. Besides being an athlete I have also built a career as a successful coach. Since March 2023 I am on the board of the SUP committee of the German Surf Association (DWV) together with Paulina Herpel. Both as an athlete and photographer, I work with different companies, brands and events like SUP 11X, manage the social media channels, am committed to sustainability with Ecoathletes and want to share my enthusiasm and passion for sports and nature with others. I want to help paddlers reaching their individual goals with specific training and finding the right gear. Always open to new things, I tried stand-up paddling in 2013 during my bachelor studies in Munich. After playing handball for almost 10 years, SUP was love at first sight, so to speak. The connection with nature, being outside, for me the sport is the perfect balance and full body workout. Since 2018 I’ve been doing SUP as a competitive sport, still a young sport but growing very fast. I love the versatility of it. You can do it on any type of water in any weather, from flat water to surfing, nothing is impossible. The sport creates a community with athletes from all over the world.

I started sup racing in the first lockdown, in the channels between the fields. The same year I participated in my first race, and now I am competing in the worlds.

I started SUP surfing at the age of 31 and now 7 years later being able to take part in the ISA World Championship is a dream come true.

Starting on the Racesup at age 8. Trained a lot in Holland with his friends and his dad Jorg Bossack as trainer. Doing a lot of competions in Holland and abroad, getting better every time. Benyam has a German and a Dutch pasport, but decided to go for the German Team. Since 6 months he started training with Leudo Teulade. Supsurfing he started during holidays but he likes it a lot, still lots of room for improvement there. 

I'm 56 years old and a mother of an 18-year-old, who is totally addicted to waves by surf, wing foil and SUP. Hamburg, Mallorca and Klitmøller/Denmark are my home-places to be. Riding many great and also challenging “waves of life” – with my positive mindset and attitude of "flow living" – giving up is never an option for me.   My surf life started with 16 years - 40 years ago. Being a former Windsurf-addict for 30+ years I'm since 10+ years passionate about paddleboarding in waves. I have participated successfully at many national and international SUP events and I'm triple German Vicechampion SUP Wave.    In 2018 I was part of Team Germany at the ISA SUP Worldchampionships in China. Fun fact: With 51 years old back then I was eldest female participant - you are never to old to go for your dreams! Competing again at this great event being now 56 years is just an honor and the best way for me to celebrate my 40 anniversary of surf life :) I'm deeply grateful for this opportunity.   And as a big “Ocean Lover” I have realized an inspiring heart-project: “BETTY WOULD GO. I am Milanka Linde and I am 22 years old. I have been participating in SUP races since 2013. In the first years my focus was on SUP long distance. But since I learned SUP surfing in Tarifa in 2016, I wanted to spend more time in the waves. Currently I am spending a lot of time in the waves on Gran Canaria with my windsurfing and SUP surfing gear.
