I’m Isabella, Im 13 years old

I’ve been surfing since I was 5 years old, started competitively since I was 9.

I learned to surf skate very young also which has helped me develop my style and maneuvers.

My dad has helped me with training and boards as he loves surfing as well.

I attended my first ISA Junior World Championship when I was 10, in 2018 Huntington Beach.

2019 I was Sub 14 National Champ in Panama. Also participated in the South American Junior Championship in Colombia December 2019, placed 3rd.

2020 had big plans and Started good and we went to Costa Rica, Dominical to train and compete and had a great event over there and planned on doing more Costa Rica events. Also had an event scheduled in Florida, but that trip was cancelled because of COVID.

The rest of 2020 there was no surf contests and we were locked up at our house in Costa Esmeralda, luckily we could surf some as we live walking distance to a break, but its small most of the time.

After being locked up the rest of the year, in October as soon as restrictions lifted a bit we moved to Santa Catalina to change the scenery and get better at surfing big waves. We were lucky to train with Oli Camarena who over the years has always helped me and showed me the ropes at the point. This really boosted my confidence out there.

Last minute in December 2020 we were invited to the South American Junior Championship again in Colombia December 2020, and placed 4th in Sub 14, this was great to finally compete again and it’s a super fun event.

2021, We stayed at our new temporary home (Santa Catalina) this entire year training bigger more powerful surf.... in case we made the team going to el Salvador, and luckily, we were chosen...... There is a great group of girls my age that surf in Santa Catalina and I have made some great friends over there.

I love surfing bigger waves, doing big cutbacks, snaps and trying to go vertical. I plan on learning to do airs soon. I plan on continuing to travel and compete as much as possible internationally.

I live in Rio Mar, Panamá. I am 18 years old, and I am striving to become a professional surfer. I, like most surfers, want to get to the World Surf League. My parents introduced me to this beautiful sport, and I keep surfing with them to this day. My family lives in Argentina, while I live with my parents in Panama's bay. My favorite maneuver is getting barreled. I also have a powerful backside, but I seriously need to practice my airs.
