I live in the southern part of Spain, in Málaga and have always loved the sea. I started to bodyboard when I was five and to surf when I was thirteen. I also learnt how to swim when I was eighteen months old. You can say that I´m a water baby. I have practised many sports and as a child I wanted to become a professional sports person. Three years ago I became very ill, was taken to the hospital and was in coma for 10 days due to a meningoccocus. It had caused me a sepsis and I suffered various multi-organic shocks. As a consecuence to all this I suffered amputations of my hands and feet. I also had to undergo a kidney transplant, my father being the live donor. There I was, at the hospital, with no hands and feet, thinking what my life would be like and how I was going to survive. I felt totally helpless and dependant, something that I hated. Well, here I am, three years later, in my third year of law and the 2021 spanish champion of parasurfing in the prone 2 category. Life is really about attitude. If you want something you have to go for it, fight for it until you succeed. I have learnt that although I have no hands and feet, with a strong heart and brains I can do anything I want.
