My name is Barbara Garcia, and I am a para-athlete competing for Mêxico My parents say I've always been a warrior all my life and now I like to think this way of surfing was meant to be. I suffered an accident 8 years ago caused by a boat propeller where I lost my right leg below the knee and almost lost my left leg as well, I was so lucky I didn't die. Losing a limb didn't stop me from surfing and dreaming about a happy life. Thanks to my family and friends I'm still working on my dreams and achieving step by step what makes me feel stronger.
