I started surfing in 1981 and use to be test rider for 2 surf shops in Tokyo and 1 surf shop in Odawara named BEE. I also made several surf trips abroad . In 1995 I was involved in a road accident taht was not my fault. After 10 years of rehabilitation I was able to go back to the water. Always trying to give my best to improve, I am a true ocean lover and I spend as much time as I can in the water.

At 47 years old when I was diagnosed as visually impaired, and I changed job. As my vision impairment is progressive , I am still experiencing narrowing of my field of vision. I am confident I can contribute to the success of the Japanese team in this world level competition.

I am a dyeing and weaving artist in Okinawa, Japan. I dye yarn with Ryukyu indigo and weave on a loom to make cloth. My theme is ‘weaving the waves of the blue sea according to the rhythm of nature.’ Please check my sns. This world is connected in BLUES!!

I am a para surfer from Tokyo, currently living in Narita, Chiba, Japan. As the Chairperson of the Promotion Committee of the Japan Para Canoe Federation, I am dedicated to promoting para sports and training new supporters. Ten years ago, I sustained a spinal cord injury in a traffic accident and have been a wheelchair user since then. However, my passion for the ocean has never faded. I continue to compete as an athlete because I want as many people with disabilities as possible to experience the joy and power of water sports. I proudly represent Japan in para surfing competitions (Wave Ski Surfing division). My major achievements include 2nd place at the 2023 Japan Open at Shizunami Surf Stadium, 1st place at the NSA All Japan Para Surfing Championships, 11th place at the 2024 Hawaii Adaptive Surfing World Championships, 2nd place at the 2025 NSA All Japan Para Surfing Championships, and 3rd place at the 2025 Hawaii Adaptive Surfing World Championships. I truly love the ocean and believe in challenging myself beyond age and disability. My trademark is my samurai-style topknot hairstyle and lime-green wheelchair. 1994年から病院やクリニックで看護師として勤務。2004年に訪問看護に移行。2005年からサーフィンを始めました。2015年に網膜色素変性症と診断され、2019年から看護師と老人ホームの施設長を兼任しています。視野狭窄のためサーフィンができなくなりましたが、2025年にサーフィンに復帰しました。
