I love my wife Carine ;-)  and I love surfing... I forget my handicap

I'm Guillaume, a French para surfer and wingfoiler enjoying the Mediterranean waves and winds. Passionate about being out in the elements: wind, swell and ocean. I love the feeling of freedom these sports bring. Beyond performance, I’m driven by the joy of sharing, inspiring others, and helping develop para surfing and especially para wingfoiling, a young and promising discipline with huge potential.

Surfing is very important for me and my hearth.  I have multiple sclerosis and the surf saved me.

I would like people to know that after my accident, it was sport that saved me. Today I live only for sport I practiced a lot at a high level, I had the chance to know several France teams in several disciplines and to make a lot of beautiful encounters. Now I'm aiming for the top level and the Paralympics in 2028 in surfing.  I would like all people who have an accident to know the happiness I have known through sport this is what has allowed me to rebuild myself and be stronger.

Position de Précision : allongée (Prone2). Précision board : cette année nous avons travaillé à l'élaboration d'une planche. C'est le Shaper Rods qui l'a réalisé. Il s'agit d'une 6'2 en époxy. Depuis le mois d'avril, je surfe sans mes prothèses de jambes. C'était une demande de mes coaches car mes prothèses traînaient dans l'eau et freinaient mon surf. Personnellement je n'étais pas prête mais au mois d'avril, j'ai osé! Et depuis je surfe sans.  Je suis amputée des 4 membres depuis 2010. J'ai dû beaucoup abandonner de mes loisirs après le handicap : danse moderne jazz, sport en eau vive (canyoning, rafting, hydrospeed, kayak...), baignade à l'océan, randonnées en haute montagne (Pyrénées). J'ai aussi dû renoncer à mon métier d'enseignante. Mon premier cours de surf en mai 2022. Ma kiné connaissant ma frustration de ne plus pouvoir aller à l'océan, m'a parlé d'un moniteur de surf qui pratique le surf adapté. Cela a été un grand bonheur de pouvoir retourner dans l'océan, j'ai même retrouvé la sensation de glisse. Le surf m'apporte beaucoup de bien-être. Et aussi j'ai rencontré d'autres para surfeur,lors des compétitions et des stages (stage - entraînement) c'est un groupe de personnes formidables . Ils sont devenus très importants pour moi.

I am 15 and and this is my 4th participation to the ISA World Championships after attending the Pismo event in 2022 and the Huntington events in 2023 & 2024. I am blind and surf since the age of 7 in various French spots. I am proud to be part of the French team and to be able to take part of the event this year again. Beyond surf, I love classical music and I play the flute. I also practice shadow boxing to keep in shape.

I was born in the southwest of France to a Welsh mother and an Australian father, and these days I spend most of the year in France. Growing up, I split my time between Seignosse/Hossegor, France, and Point Lonsdale, Victoria, Australia, where I was fortunate to learn how to surf with my dad and my younger brother and sister. At the age of 18, I was hit by a drunk driver and lost my left leg below the knee. I received a phenomenal amount of love and support from friends, family, and the communities in my hometowns in France and Australia, which helped me through this time. Eight months later, I was back surfing for the first time with my family. Having a dad who’s a shaper has been a huge help, as he’s able to guide me with my boards in the best way possible since adapting to surfing with a prosthetic, keeping my love for the sport stronger than ever. In recent years, I’ve taken up snowboarding and discovered a real love for the mountains, spending every chance I get there in the winter months with friends and family. I’m currently pursuing a four-year HEPTA bachelor’s degree at ESSEC Business School, Sciences Po, and CentraleSupélec Engineering College. My goal is to complete my studies while continuing to compete on the para surf world tour. I’ve also started giving talks at schools, companies, and conferences, sharing my journey. I aim to show that even the most challenging situations can be transformed into positive experiences, and that there are no limits to what we can achieve. I am excited to participate in the ISA World Para Surfing Championships for the third time as part of the French team, especially after not being able to participate last year because I seriously injured myself.

Licencié au Hossegor Surf Club à Hossegor, j'ai commencé le surf en mai 2020, suite à un rêve, alors que je n'avais jamais surfé. Le surf est devenu quasiment instantanément une passion suite à mon premier cours. Je me suis mis très vite à la compétition, j'ai toujours eu envie de me surpasser et de remporter des titres. Palmarès : Champion de France 2024, Champion du monde par équipe 2023 et 5ème mondial Vi1 2023.

Je pratique le surf depuis mars 2022, j'ai remporté deux fois la compétition PSL en Galice et à Anglet.

I was born in France to two Kiwi parents. I am the eldest of 4 siblings. My Dad was a professional rugby player which is why my parents moved to France. In 2018 we moved to the Pays Basque from Bordeaux and I discovered surf. I speak fluent French and English & I am proud to be here representing France. This summer we moved to Nice on the opposite coast of France, no waves there! but I am lucky enough to have a double sports project - I have also been selected as an 'espoir' (rising talent) in the France Para Snowboard team with the goal of competing in the Winter Paralympics 2030 which are being hosted in France. Nice (my new home) is also the host city for the 2030 Winter Olympics & Paralympics. I'm currently at boarding school at Lycee de le Montagne in Valdeblore which also has a high performance facility for young athletes so I am able to train and study. 

Je m'appelle Solange et je suis née à Brest le 19/04/1996. Ancienne aide soignante, je suis passée de soignante à soignée en 2023 suite à un accident qui m'a rendu paraplégique. Après ma rééducation j'ai découvert le Parasurf et j'ai très vite décidé que je me lançais dans la compétition. 
Aujourd'hui je sensibilise les gens au handicap et Parasurf à travers les réseaux sociaux.
