I've taken part in a couple of ISA events for Austria in the past - from the World Surfing Games 1998 in Lissabon (surfing) to the 2017 SUP World Champs in Copenhagen (prone paddleboard) and really enjoyed them. This one might be my last so I'm going to enjoy surfing amongst all the old legends as much as possible.

Came as 9 year old from Upper Austria to Brazil/Rio de Janeiro, started surfing at age 10 in Copacabana/Ipanema, left Brazil in 1989 working for an airline worldwide.
Lived and worked internationally in roundabout 30 countries, and happened to have great surfing moments in countries such as Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, El Salvador, South Corea, France, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Senegal, Bali, New Zealand, California amongst others.
Participated on Eurosurf Bundoran/Ireland 1997, ISA WSG Cascais/Portugal 1998 and Eurosurf on Canary Islands/Spain 2005 for Team Austria.
With age 55+ and living & working in central germany I learned to surf on rapid waves such as Eisbach in Munique, artificial waves (Citywaves) in Berlin, Munique, Düsseldorf and waveparks (Wavegarden) in UK and Switzerland.
Ocean waves surfing is coming short since 2000, a maximum of 10-15 days a year during vacations and I'm having a real hard time when getting into the ocean after months of not paddling and taking off on a "real" wave.
The passion for surf is with me since age 10 and I'm doing everything to keep it alive. In the words of Italo Ferreira: still "stoke-ed".
