I fell in love with the waves 7 years ago in Australia. 2 years ago I decided to come back to my roots - Lithuania. Where I proudly share the surf culture amongst Lithuanian people. I feel most alive when I teach kids and families to catch their first waves.

I was Born in Lithuania but left at a very young age, I grew up in Spain and Indonesia, I live on a very remote island that's called Sumba. Iam super happy to represent Team Lithuania 

Girmantas is often referred as the pioneer and the godfather of Lithuanian surfing, having tried surfing on an old windsurfboard right after Lithuania regained independency from the Soviet Union in the early 1990s. Since 2008 he's been organizing Surf Camp festival, that was instrumental in building surfing in the country and led to establishing Lithuanian Surfing Association and securing ISA and NOC membership and governmental funding of the sport. He currently runs a surf hostel and surf academy in Klaipėda, Lithuania and keeps on pushing further infrastructure development in the country. When it gets cold, Girmantas spends his winters in Baja, Mexico.
