In 2012 stand up paddle came into my life and I was addicted. I have been race mainly in the Netherlands but every year I participatie in a few sup races in europe. My biggest win is the 11citytour non stop 2023. 

Ricardo is an allround athlete. Proud dad of two daugther 7 and 9 years old. living together with his girlfriend Petronella van Malsen on a houseboat. They are ''living the waterlife and living''

Ricardo is active in mutlipole sports. Besides the Job he has by Mistral he is also a owner of a stand up paddle school and a wingfoilschool in Holland. Which he runs together with Petronella.

This year he has already been participating at the World Championships of Hyrox in Nice. Only 2% of all participants can qualified for this event.

Some achievements: completing the Non-stop Sup Eleven City tour. Paddled around Ibiza. Participated at the Ironmana in Tahiti 

My name is Froukje and I am 27 years old. Since several years I began with SUP racing at Dutch events. I even did the eleven city tour two times in the open ladies devision. The combination between work and supping is sometimes hard, but a really nice adding to my fulltime job. 

At the age of 13 I did the 220km 11city tour. And I won the tour division 

Started SUP at SUP Kids Makkum in June 2020.

Martijn Ronday 42 Born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Residing currently in Cornwall, the United Kingdom. I first got in touch with prone paddleboarding when I joined our local Perranporth Surf Life Saving Club as part of one of the disciplines of the surf lifesaving sport. In 2022 a friend of mine, Jasper Rijpma, decided to paddle a full marathon for charity to raise awareness about melanoma skin cancer and the dangers of (too much) sun exposure. Being moved by his cause and his struggles with the disease, I decided to join him. Since then paddleboarding has taken a more prominent place in my life and I kept paddling after we completed the marathon in 2023. During one of our regular training sessions, one of my mates planted a thought when he asked "Why not try and qualify for the World Champs", and the rest is history. Although I am not a natural-born athlete and perhaps joined the game a bit too late in life, I can say I have been training hard and am proud to have qualified through the Dutch National Championships. I look forward to representing the Netherlands and positively contributing to the team. 

Do you know why I'm participating? Not because I can compete with these strong ladies, but to show that even at 43 you can still be quite sporty and keep a family running. Do what you like and don't be afraid of what others think of you. Denmark will be a great adventure and someone has to cross the finish line last. No problem if that's me!
