Overview:
The ISA Continental Youth Athlete Development Program (YADP) took place in Viti Levu, Fiji in May 2025 for selected youth athletes and coaches from Oceania.
The YADP included an in-depth overview of scoring potential, venue analysis, mental preparation, time management skills, tactical game, motivational goals, technical video analysis and more. There was also specific training for coaches to continue with long-term youth athlete development in the future.
Culturally, Fiji is known for its deep sense of community and hospitality —”Bula” (hello) is more than just a greeting; it’s a spirit of friendliness and welcome. Fijian culture is a blend of Indigenous Fijian (iTaukei) traditions and strong Indian influences, due to a large Indo-Fijian population.
