I started surfing in 2016 after competing in four Paralympics in three different sports. Last year I just started mountain biking in a new electric mountain bike which is a blast
I'm born with a cerebral palsy. For as long as I can remember, I've pushed my self trying new thing. I've started river surfing in Montreal in 2020, 2 years later I got the opportunity to join surf Canada Team! :) With little experience I enjoy evec second of this amazing chance!

Lisa is from Saskatchewan, which is the midwest of Canada. She hadn't been in the ocean until first trying surfing in 2017. At the 2022 ISA Adaptive Surf World Championships, Lisa participated in the clinic hosted by AmpSurf. In 2021, Lisa volunteered at the Championships, and in 2022 Lisa competed for the first time. What a neat progression! Lisa was the only female competitor in waveski at the 2022 ISA Worlds and finished 8th. When the 2023 ISA World Championships offered a women'sw aveski category she placed 3rd. She is a 3 time Paralympian, having competed at the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Paralympic Games for Canada. The 2000 & 2004 games were with wheelchair racing and she won 6 gold and one silver medal. She competed in wheelchair basketball in 2008. Throughout her wheelchair racing career, Lisa set world records in 7 events - from the 100m to the marathon distances. She is a mechanical engineer and also founded an adaptive mountain bike club that takes people with mobility issues off the pavement.

My name is Brock Leitner. I was injured June 12th 2022 and am now a T6 complete paraplegic. My life before injury consisted of racing Motocross and supercross all over Canada and the USA. I started riding a dirtbike at 3.5 years old and racing when I was 4. Along with racing motocross professionally I was also a very avid golfer. I was and still am a very athletic guy. My life revolved around sports and I was not going to let my injury change that.
