Twenty five year old Peruvian surfer, Lucca Mesinas, has arrived in El Salvador in preparation for the 2021 Surf City El Salvador ISA World Surfing Games. Mesinas earned a gold medal at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. This win marked him as provisionally qualified for Tokyo 2020.
Coming from North Peru, Mesinas he always balanced school with surfing and his constant practice has paid off. He explains that seeing surfing finally become part of the Olympics, is a dream come true. He’s thankful to have the chance to compete against the best from around the world.
