The ISA stands in full solidarity with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people and strongly condemns the military action by the Russian government. At present, no ISA events are planned in Russia or in neighbouring regions – and no competitions will be considered there whilst this terrible invasion continues. The safety of the public, athletes and officials must be the top priority.
We have contacted the Ukrainian Surfing Association to express our concern and hope that all their athletes and loved ones are safe. The ISA will support the Ukrainian surf community in every way possible.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this humanitarian tragedy and we hope that peace is swiftly restored.
