The ISA Athletes’ Commission (AC) was established in 2018 and consists of 7 athletes who play a vital role in representing the voice and interests of athletes on executive-level, sport-based decisions. The ISA AC’s mission is to consider matters as they relate to athletes and provide advice and recommendations to the ISA. The Chair of the ISA AC holds a position on the ISA Executive Committee to ensure that the athletes’ opinion is heard at the highest level of governance of Surfing.

Three New World Champions Crowned on Historic Day of Distance Racing

Strength and endurance were tested on day seven of the 2022 ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship as the Prone and SUP Distance Races took place on a course that took in the entirety of Puerto Rico’s San Juan Island.

Brazil’s Luiz Diniz claimed an unprecedented third gold medal in Men’s SUP Surfing, while Argentina’s Lucia Cosoleto claimed her first in the Women’s division on an exciting day at the 2022 ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championships in Puerto Rico.

A huge day of competition saw the field drastically narrowed for SUP Surfing on day five of the ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship. San Juan’s La Ocho continued to provide rippable 3-to-4 foot surf in Puerto Rico’s tropical paradise.
