Olympic qualification race heats up on the World Surf League Championship Tour with a further 10 slots up for grabs in final two events
Finals Day of the 2023 Surf City El Salvador ISA World Surfing Games was always going to be entertaining, but the combination of amazing surf, Olympic Games slots and ISA Gold Medals pushed the eight men and eight women remaining in the draw to their limits, providing an unbelievable display of athleticism and incredible surfing.
Huge swell inundated Surf City for day seven of the 2023 Surf City El Salvador ISA World Surfing Games. Triple overhead sets marched down the coast, setting the scene for an incredible day of surfing. Men and women alternated throughout the day, moving through main rounds 5 and 6 and repechage rounds 8-10.
A rising, long-period 6-8 foot swell with double-overhead waves raised stakes throughout the day as Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualification hung in the balance for most of the surfers left in the draw of the 2023 Surf City El Salvador ISA World Surfing Games.
