  • Classification

    All information on ISA Para Surfing Classification and the updated ISA Para Surfing Sport Classes can be found on our website HERE

    Classification will take place on Friday November 3rd and Saturday November 4th from 9am-5pm. All new athletes not on the ISA Para Surfing Classification Overall Master Classification List or athletes with a Review Status must schedule a classification appointment at the following link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409054BAAAA2EAAFF2-49832769-2024#/

    All athletes that require a classification assessment must pay the one-time classification fee of $50 USD (ISA Para Surfing Classification Process – $25, Classification Card – $25). This will be included in your registration fee.

  • How to Register + RSVP

    Registration for the 2024 ISA World Para Surfing Championship in Huntington Beach is now open.

    Please ensure you have completed the following steps by the deadline of October 24th, 2024.

    1. Submit the WPSC Team Roster Spreadsheet by sending to [email protected] and [email protected]

    2. Pay your invoice (To be sent after submittal of WPSC Team Roster Spreadsheet)

    3. Complete the Line Up Registration for your athletes and officials (Link to be sent)

    4. Schedule your classification appointment: On-site classification will take place on Friday November 3rd and Saturday November 4th from 9am-5pm. All new athletes not on the ISA Para Surfing Classification Overall Master Classification List or athletes with a Review Status must schedule a classification appointment at the following link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409054BAAAA2EAAFF2-20231

    Classification fees for new athletes will be included in your team’s invoice.

  • Team Size

    Each National Federation will be allowed to field a team of up to nine men athletes and nine women athletes across the nine Para Surfing Sport Classes, for a total of eighteen eligible athletes.

    The nine men and nine women maximum athletes per country will include no more than two athletes in any one Para Surfing Sport Class.

  • Anti-Doping

    As a signatory to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Code, the ISA implements a strict adherence to the Code as a way to ensure a clean, healthy and fair sporting atmosphere for all athletes.

    In registering for the 2024 ISA WPSC, all athletes must adhere to the ISA Anti-Doping Rules which, among other requirements, states that all Athletes competing in ISA World Championships shall be subject to In Competition Testing at any time, with or without advance notice.

    Athletes are responsible for making sure any medication that is taken is not listed on the 2024 WADA Prohibited Substance List.

  • Importance of Global Attendance + The Challenged Athletes Grant Support

    The ISA would like to highlight the importance of global participation and encourage all National Federations to participate in the 2024 World Para Surfing Championship in Huntington Beach to build excitement and showcase the global growth of Para Surfing.

    The Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) is once again supporting the ISA World Para Surfing Championship. A small amount of discretionary funding is available for the 2024 WPSC with preference given to nations with the greatest need and those who have not previously competed in the World Para Surfing Championship. If your athletes require this additional support to attend this event please contact [email protected] and we will connect you with CAF to inquire.
