Preliminary National Team Summoned
FENTA (National Surfing Federation for its initials in Spanish) summoned the following surfers to a pre-selection of the National Team that will represent Peru in the Billabong ISA World Surfing Games to take place in Costa Rica from August 1 to 8.

FENTA announces new National Circuit Events
FENTA, along with the surfwear brands that supports surfing, announced the National Tour events calendar.

July 26-27: Huancho Municipality Cup - Trujillo
October 3-4: Mormaii Cup - La Pampilla beach - Miraflores, Lima.
October 17-18 -: Reef Cup in Lobitos - Talara, Piura.
November 21-22: Hurley Cup in Señoritas/Caballeros - Punta Hermosa, Lima.

The awards ceremony will take place on December 11 at the Waikiki Club.

Derrem Surfboards and Surfers for Christ support surfing

To celebrate the next International Surfing Day, on June 20th, Derrem surfboard manufacturer will handout recollected used surfboards and well-conserved wetsuits to a group of boys from the Chorrillos district.

These boys, many of which are exposed to delinquency and drugs, have been practicing surfing and receiving spiritual and educational assistance by a group of Surfers for Christ.

Their objectives are to strengthen their spirituality through the love of Christ, to restore their self-esteem, to develop their individual talents and love of creation by means of practicing surfing.

About the International Surfing Association (ISA)
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for surfing, bodyboarding and surfriding. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.

ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in San Diego, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since. The ISA's four Vice Presidents are Alan Atkins (Australia), Robin de Kock (South Africa), Mike Gerard (USA) and Karin Sierralta (Peru)
