Welcome to the International Surfing Association's News Updates
Starting in the fall of 2001, the ISA began publishing monthly Press Releases to post on the ISA website and to send to the ISA's global media distribution list, the International Olympic Committee and various major sport organizations.
The ISA also began sending out monthly Newsletters to its National Governing Bodies (NGBs) worldwide. The mission of the Newsletter is to improve the communication between the ISA World Headquarters and the ISA NGBs. It is also a way for the NGB's to inform all other NGB’s about what is going on in their nations.
These monthly publications contain events and news from the ISA NGB’s regarding what is happening in their part of the world. They also contain information about what is going on in the ISA World Headquarters and any upcoming event or project the ISA is working on. By having close ties to many surfing communities world wide, the ISA is strengthening the sense of camaraderie every surfer has.
If any NGB has important information that should be included in the Newsletters and Press Releases, (for example: major achievements, upcoming events, event results, new contact information), please forward the information to the ISA Headquarters, e-mail: surf@isasurf.org.
Together, the ISA Newsletter and ISA Press Release will help all of us to be more in touch with each other, a key factor for the development of each NGB and for the ISA as a whole. The ISA hopes that this initiative becomes a very important vehicle to improve the communication among the ISA and surfing world.
