PUERTO RICO IS READY FOR THE MASTERS
Last year’s local team and runner up in the first edition of the annual ISA World Masters Surfing Championship, Puerto Rico is now in Peru looking to repeat or improve their great results. From March 31 until April 5 they will compete against 17 other National teams in the perfect waves of Punta Rocas.
Puerto Rico proved to be tough competition as locals, and this year they will be challenged to prove themselves in foreign waters. In 2007, the legendary “boricuas” surfers Juan Ashton and Alberto Licha were both medal winners. Surfer Juan Ashton won the Gold Medal in the Masters while teammate Alberto Licaha secured the Bronze Medal in the Grand Masters. Both teammates are here in Peru, and they will be under the spotlight in both events. Read more

TAHITIAN MASTERS TO DEFEND THE BRONZE MEDAL IN PERU
Tahitians are ready for the only world surfing tournament for surfers over 35 years old, the ISA World Masters Surfing Championship that will take place in the wonderful Peruvian waves of Punta Rocas, from March 29 until April 5.
After a great performance at last years Masters in the waves of Rincón, Puerto Rico, the Tahitians won the Bronze medal in the overall team standings, with their outstanding surfers Heifara Tahutini and Heinare Paez winning the Silver Medals in the Masters and Grand Masters divisions respectively.

DOMINICANS ARE READY FOR THE MASTERS
Dominican Republic has confirmed a full Masters team that will compete in the second edition of the annual ISA World Masters Surfing Championship that will be held in the fantastic waves of Punta Rocas, Peru, from March 29 until April 5.
Dominicans obtained their best ever result in a World Surfing Contest in the first edition of the Masters competition, held January 2007 in the perfect waves of Rincón, Puerto Rico, obtaining an overall 6th in the team positions, with their two Kahunas surfers placing 5th and 6th –Ariel Mendez and Robert Reid respectively. BRAZIL GOES TO PERU AS ONE OF THE FAVOURITES
Brazil will be competing with a strong “dream team” in the second edition of the annual ISA World Masters Surfing Championship that will take place in the long, perfect and classic waves of Punta Rocas, Peru, from March 29 - April 5.
On the team, you can see former WCT surfer Jojó De Olivença, former National Champs Pedro Muller, Ricardo Toledo and Brigitte Mayer, and State champions or former Pro Brazilian tour top 16 like Jair de Oliveira, Renato Phebo and Newton Miranda. Read more

TEAM AUSTRALIA READY TO ROCK THE MASTERS
In the wake of Mick Fanning and Stephanie Gilmore’s success on surfing’s ‘World Tour”, Australia’s premier masters surfers will slug it out for world glory at the 2008 ISA World Masters Surfing Championships in Peru next week.
Team Australia will enter the second-annual tournament, running from 30 March – 5th April; led by 1988 Pipeline Masters champion Rob Page.
Page, the former elite World Tour competitor, will contest both the men’s masters (Over 35) and grand masters (Over 40) divisions at Puntas Rocas, Peru. Read more

ECUADORIAN FULL TEAM FIRED UP FOR THE MASTERS
A full Ecuadorian team will be competing in the perfect Peruvian waves of Punta Rocas from March 29 until April 5 in the only world surfing event for surfers over 35 years old, the second annual ISA World Masters Surfing Championship.
This is second time that Ecuador will compete in the World Masters Surfing Championship. On the first edition, that took place in the perfect waves of Rincón, Puerto Rico, Ecuadorians placed 8th in the overall team standings.

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO IS READY TO MAKE THEIR DEBUT AT THE MASTERS
For the first time in history, Trinidad and Tobago will be competing in the one and only world tournament for surfers over 35, the annual ISA World Masters Surfing Championship that will be held in the perfect, traditional waves of Punta Rocas, Peru from March 29 until April 5.

JAMAICANS READY FOR THE MASTERS
The Caribbean team will be competing in Peru with a full team
A full Jamaican team will be participating in the second edition of the Annual ISA World Masters Surfing Championship that will be held in Punta Rocas, Peru, from March 29 until April 5.
After having a middle of the road standing in 2007, placing 9th in the overall team rankings, the Jamaicans are eager to improve their result. Read more

TEAM ARGENTINA IS READY FOR THEIR WORLD MASTERS DEBUT
For the first time in history a full Argentinean team will compete for the ISA World Masters Surfing Championship Gold Medal.
After holding three team trials in order to select the Argentinean Masters Team, the Southern American nation decided the surfers that will participate. The light blue and white team will participate in the ISA World Masters Surfing Championship to be held in the perfect Peruvian Punta Rocas’ waves from March 29 until April 5. Read more

LOCALS ARE READY FOR THE MASTERS
Peruvians are eager to repeat the 1965 victory in Punta Rocas
After a long 43 year wait, the traditional surfing nation of Peru will be hosting, for the second time in history, a world surfing contest - the ISA World Masters Surfing Championship. The event will be held from March 29 to April 5, in the perfect waves of Punta Rocas.
In 1965, Peruvians held the 2nd World Surfing Championship and, with the local ripper Felipe Pomar winning the second World Champion title in surfing history, the locals claimed their victory. This time, they want to do it again in their waves and with their best surfers. Read more

South Africa´s Masters Team is ready for the 2008 ISA World Masters Surfing Championship
The first edition of the annual ISA World Masters Surfing Championship, held in the surf of Puerto Rico in January, 2007, was won by the South Africa team that had four finalists in the three categories.
With the upcoming second edition of the Masters right around the corner, from March 29 until April 5, in the perfect waves of Punta Rocas, Peru, South Africans show themselves focused and fired up to repeat the spectacular campaign performed a year ago. Read more
