DAY EIGHT:  AUSTRALIA WINS BIG AT 2007 QUIKSILVER ISA WJSC
GARRETT PARKES, SALLY FITZGIBBONS, JADSON ANDRE AND TEAM AUSTRALIA CROWNED WORLD CHAMPIONS IN PORTUGAL
13 MAY 2007 -- In a thrilling day for junior surfing, team Australia and two of its young stars took home gold medals on the final day of the 2007 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in Costa de Caparica, Portugal.

DAY SEVEN:  WAVES AND PERFORMANCE LEVELS RISE ON DAY 7 OF THE QUIKSILVER ISA WJSC
HISTORY MAKING 8 JUDGE PANEL PIONEERED BY THE ISA
12 MAY 2007 -- Waves and performance levels rose on Day 7 of the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships at Costa de Caparica, Portugal.  Solid 3-4 feet (1 meter) waves were on offer and the world’s best young surfers reveled in the well shaped surf. 

DAY SIX:  HIGH STAKES ACTION ON DAY 6 OF THE QUIKSILVER ISA WJSC

2006 ISA Girls Gold Medalist Pauline Ado Eliminated from Competition
11 MAY 2007 -- Round after round of critical heats ran today at 2007 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships at Costa de Caparica, Portugal. The world's finest young surfers fought hard to continue their campaigns for both individual and team glory at the Olympics of junior surfing while other decorated surfers fell short.

DAY FIVE: COMPETITION INTENSIFIES ON DAY 5 OF THE QUIKSILVER ISA WORLD JUNIOR SURFING CHAMPIONSHIPS
10 MAY 2007 -- Competition intensified today on day 5 of the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in Costa de Caparica, Portugal as the elimination rounds got into full swing and the surfers pulled out all the stops in trying to stay in the game. Jayce Robinson from the Great Britain caused a huge upset in the Under 18 repecharge when he sent current European junior champion Joan Duru (France) packing, while also out-pointing Nicholas Von Rupp (Germany), the junior title holder in Portugal.  “I am so happy,” said Robinson.   “I cannot believe I beat such great surfers."

DAY FOUR:  A SCORCHING DAY 4 IN THE WATER AND ON THE BEACH AT THE QUIKSILVER ISA WORLD JUNIOR SURFING CHAMPIONSHIPS
09 MAY 2007 -- The action heated up both in the water and on the beach today at the 2007 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in Costa de Caparica, Portgual.  Sunny skies and warm offshore winds combined with more consistent swell and the top young surfers in the world let loose in the improved conditions.  One of the most exciting heats of the day occurred early in the morning when Brazilian Jadson Andre clashed with Australians Chris Friend and Ellis Ericson in Round 4 of the Under 18 Boys. 

DAY THREE:  LATIN AMERICAN AND POLYNESIAN SURFERS STAND OUT ON DAY 3 OF QUIKSILVER ISA WORLD JUNIOR SURFING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Surfers from Latin America and Polynesia stood out today at the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships at Costa de Caparica, Portugal.
08 MAY 2007 -- Francisco Bellorin (Caracas, Venezuela) was at his giant killing best again this morning – less than a day after upsetting the current European Junior champion, Joan Duru (Capbreton, France). Bellorin, surfing in Round 3 of the Under 18 division, took out touted surfers Charles Martin (France), who posted the highest scores of day 1, and Cory Arrambide (Ventura, USA.)

DAY TWO:  AUSTRALIA’S FITZGIBBONS DOMINATES UNDER 18 GIRLS ROUND 1
Surf improves for Day Two of Quiksilver ISA World Juniors
07 MAY 2007 -- Seasoned competitor Sally Fitzgibbons (Gerroa, NSW, Australia) did not let the hassles of international travel stop her from tearing apart the waves of Costa de Caparica on day 2 of the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships.  Fitzgibbons, silver medalist at this event in Brazil last year, endured a 42 hour trip from Australia to Portugal and arrived in Lisbon without her luggage.  “I still haven’t gotten my clothes,” said Fitzgibbons.  “But I had fun in my heat. I found a couple of good lefthand runners.”

DAY ONE:  FRANCE'S MARC LACOMARE BRINGS LASER SHARP SURFING TO PORTUGAL
Round 1 of the Quiksilver ISA World Juniors Begins in Clean Small Waves
06 MAY 2007 -- Marc Lacomare, 17, (Hossegor, France) posted the highest total score of Round 1 (15.5 points out of 20) of the Under 18 Boys at the 2007 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships today in Costa Da Caparica, Portugal. Lacomare took to the water in the first heat of the day and looked entirely at home in the morning¹s clean and small (1-2 feet, .5 meter) surf.
